Apply for the migrant victims of domestic abuse concession

This concession gives you temporary permission to stay in the UK and apply to claim benefits if your relationship broke down because of domestic abuse.

Details

Use this form if:

  • you are in the UK on a temporary visa as a partner

  • your relationship has broken down because of domestic abuse

  • you need access to benefits to support yourself

If successful, you will get permission to stay in the UK for 3 months. You will be able to apply to claim benefits.

During these 3 months, you must do one of the following:

This used to be called the ‘destitution domestic violence concession (DDVC)’.
